We're Off to the Jungle

We celebrated Gavyn's birthday last Saturday. He wanted it to have "animals like at Busch Gardens" so we did our version of a Safari party. The highlight was a Gator Hunt led by Bryan that ended with capturing a Gator pinata. All the kids loaded up in the back of Bryan's work truck and rode down the street where they hunted and captured. It was brought back and each got a turn to try and get the candy out.

Gavyn was thrilled with the toys everyone brought, THANK YOU!!! He told me his guitar from his aunts and cousins was the greatest gift in the universe and asked me which button you push to make it "rock". I'm so proud that my son's aspiration is to be a rock star ;-).

He designed his cake, actually he chose it from the various versions of safari cakes online and thankfully this was one Mommy could handle. I especially liked Makayla's suggestion of the white water at the falls. Gavyn placed all the animals, notice the gorilla in the top of the tree.
