Our local homeschool group organized a wonderful event for the families in our area. The children were able to display some their work from the year and also do a presentation if they chose. Makayla wanted to do both, so we pulled a few of our favorite projects out for a display and she dressed as Mother Goose and recited Nursery Rhymes. She did a wonderful job, we are so proud of her and all she has accomplished this year and how much we have seen her grow and develop. She has been blessed with a wonderful mind and kind and beautiful heart.Their were so many wonderful presentations - other recitations, twirlings, dancing, violin and other string instruments, a precious report on fish, etc.. Our favorite was a 5 year old little girl who recited two poems and acted out their words perfectly. In the middle she "whispers" to her Mom from the stage "Did I do good?" then runs off to get a hug and came back to do her next poem. It was precious, we are their cheerleaders. We get to see their progress and joy in all they learn, sometimes it is worth the craziness that is homeschooling.
Gavyn enjoyed playing with tape during the show....

This was fun to watch--Makayla has a great memory and did such a good job reciting the Nursery Rhymes. Just another reminder that you are Wonder Mom :)!
Please tell Makayla that I watched her video and loved hearing those rhymes. G.G. taught those to me when I was a little girl and I still remember them. It was a wonderful performance. Love, Grandma Russ
