Okay, so our ward had an awesome ward activity combined with the scouts pine wood derby. They opened it up to anyone in the ward who wanted to build a car could, so all these Elders, who are now the Daddy's got all excited about building a car and girls got to decorate and race, etc. We ended up with more than 20 cars entered. One of our full-time missionaries won with a borrowed car. Gavyn was in the last rounds though. Bryan made one for Makayla and one for Gavyn. He was amazing, because he made them completely in less then 2 hours. I have to say I was doubtful the kids would have anything to race, but he pulled it out. Makayla's is purple with glitter and jewels all over it - I doubt there has ever been a pinewood derby car like it! Four of the cousins had cars as well. Emily, the other girl, had pink with butterfly jewels. The kids loved making the cars and playing with them afterwards, they were too young to really care too much about the racing. We had good food and a blast at our first family pinewood derby.

The picture with the four of them on chairs with their cars is too funny. Bryton and Emily? are looking at Makayla like she's lost her mind. Great cars Bryan and awesome decorating you guys!

Looks like fun! Cody did pine wood derby car and had a blast. They look so big in the chaios all together. Show the kids Cody car on our page. He was proud of the yellow car he made. I hope all the kids won!!
