The kids had one day off but we added one for a five day trip to Southern Florida...Pompano Beach. We picked up the kids from school and drove the four hours down. The resort was wonderful and it was so fun to get away with each other. We love DaytonaBeach with the whole Russ clan, but we try to do a family vacation on our own as well. This was our chance and it was great.
The boys made "snail homes"
Makayla went down the water slide
184 times while we were there, over 100 on the first day. She loved it! Gavyn wasn't far behind! Bryton even tried, but it was really high and both times his arm floaties flew off and he went down. Mom had to jump in and pull him out. He was content to play in the hot tub most of the time.
Cayd took a nap on Dad holding tight to his favorite beach toy a dive stick. Then he had some fun in the water.

I'm lovin' the bald look, Bryan! Jon recently grew his hair back in after being bald for almost two years. I'm personally not a fan of the military regs high and tight cut that he is required to maintain if he wants hair on his head. I'm hoping he shaves it all off again soon.
