Our kids love nature and nature shows thanks to Bryan. They love to catch and hold and learn about all kinds of bugs, animals, etc. Well, in the course of watching live things as well as when watching nature shows there is inevitable reference to the "mating" of animals. At their young ages, we have explained it as when the girl and boy find each other and want to get married and have kids together. That had been enough so far. Makayla is currently in a "romantic" age, where she enjoys when the princess and the prince find each other and live happily ever after. She's been asking more about our dating and engagement, etc.
So all this leads up to Makayla's request for Bryan to tell her a story about where two tigers, Scarey and Gerry(Bryan will have to blog later to tell you the story of these two) "meet girl tigers and MATE". She asks it with this super excited, loud voice. Bryan, in shock, quickly mentally reviews what she is thinking - a love story of finding the girl and not what it sounds like and tells her he'll have to think on that one for the following adventures of Scarey and Gerry.
Also a fun side note...I just got Bryton from the bathroom where I hear repeated flushing of the toilet. He has a bottle of purple hair conditioner squirting it into the toilet. It separates into little purple globs when it hits the water. He would watch it, flush it, squeeze some more, watch and flush again. And I was wondering how we went through so much soap and conditioner so quickly! ;-).
Another Bryton blurb....Bryan was putting Bryton to bed the other night. Bryton toots in Bryan's arms and grabs his diaper covered booty. Then with a smile he says clear as day "Bubble".
